About Margate
Margate has the polished feel people often picture when they think about owning at the Shore, but it is still very much a neighborhood town. Beautiful beaches, established residential streets, restaurants, shopping, bayfront living and generations of families all share a relatively small piece of Absecon Island.
For me, Margate also carries family history. My grandparents made their home on Rumson Avenue, and some of my earliest Shore memories are tied to this town. That personal connection does not change the real estate decisions a buyer needs to make, but it does give me an appreciation for how deeply people can become attached to a particular street, neighborhood, or part of the island.

A true neighborhood feel
Margate combines Shore living with established residential neighborhoods. Different sections of town have their own personality, and buyers can choose among beach blocks, bayside streets, traditional homes, newer construction and everything in between.
Life beyond the beach
The beach is certainly part of Margate's appeal, but it is not the whole story. Restaurants, shops, boating, bay sunsets and everyday neighborhood life give owners reasons to enjoy the town well beyond a summer afternoon on the sand.
